American Landscapes Impressionist Painter - Pastels
Clive Tyler, from Taos, New Mexico has a passion for painting en plein air. His pastel paintings, rich with light and color, are created in a classical oil painting style, capturing the heart of the western landscape. An 'environment' painter, Clive Tyler paints outdoors as much as possible, immersing himself in his locales, re-creating the experience of place.
His larger studio work is based on his plein air painting experiences. Clive Tyler often paints in a series as an effective way to represent the environment.
Winning numerous awards, Clive Tyler's paintings were recently published in the book, "Landscapes: 89 Painters' Perspectives". He exhibits his work in several museum exhibitions including the Buffalo Bill Cody Western Museum in WY, the Booth Western Art Museum in GA and the Brinton Museum in WY.
